Liao Xiaoqi: Promote Exchange and Cooperation on E-commerce between Mainland and Macao
In the morning on Nov. 18, vice minister of commerce Liao Xiaoqi attended the opening ceremony of "High-level Seminar on E-commerce between Mainland and Macao" held in Jiaxing and gave a speech. The Seminar was jointly sponsored by MOFCOM and Economic Department of Macao Special Administrative Region, supported by Zhejiang Provincial Economic Cooperation Office, Shanghai Foreign Economic & Trade Commission and Jiaxing Municipal government. Mainland representatives who participated in the Seminar included officials from informationalization department of Zhejiang Province and Jiaxing, and local entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, over 100 representatives from Macao, including officials from economic bureau, post office, Customs, Promotion Bureau of Trade and Investment of MSAR, and some chambers of commerce, associations and entrepreneurs attended the Seminar.
Liao Xiaoqi pointed out at the opening ceremony that the Seminar was the first communication project on informationalization and e-commerce cooperation under CEPA between Mainland and Macao, aimed at making advantages of Mainland and Macao, enhancing communication and cooperation to make efforts for e-commerce development and promoting mutual economic prosperity of Mainland and Macao.
The minister also introduced briefly the work done by MOFCOM in establishing E-commerce environment, enterprises application and international communication and cooperation.
